Races and circuits

Skating races take place on the track or road. The track events can be divided in three types of track:

The flat track is a type of track whose length can vary between 80m (40m x 20m) and 100m
(50m x 20m). The curves are indicated by pins or cups, the position of which varies depending
on the direction in which you're wheeling (clockwise or counterclockwise, although all races are
played counterclockwise). The flat track, usually, is a slab of concrete, linoleum or wood floors.
The categories that usually run on flat track are the very young, and debutants,
categories of children, although in some races (like the Italian Indoor Championships) run
also the higher categories (Boys, Cadets, Junior and Senior).

The parabolic banked track is a track whose length can vary from 175m to 200m, and is characterized by a ring, where the curves are parabolic, namely the slope of the curves is a parabola. The track single slope is a track whose length is usually of 200m, where the curves are constant slope, namely not parabolic. Parabolic Banked Track are usually made by concrete, Vesmaco (a special resin) or synthetic resin, quartz cement, concrete tiles, asphalt concrete.

The road circuits are circuits of asphalt, ranging in length from 200m to 400m. The curves are irregular and are more or less flat.
